The mass housing construction was predominantly realized in the form of standardized apartment blocks. Nevertheless, almost in every housing estate, the unique residential structures were created. Within the western area for development of Bratislava, the maisonette galleried apartment building can be considered to be the most remarkable. The original proposal banked on the construction of a residential complex, which was to include five blocks with 222 apartments. However, only two blocks with different heights and perpendicular to each other were realized. In the ground floor facing Saratovská Street there are shops and services, in the courtyard part of the garage. The monumental apartment building can be considered, to some extent, a local reaction to Corbusier's famous Unité d'Habitation.
