Ten years after the completion of the Trávniky district in the Ružinov housing estate, one of its authors, Ferdinand Milučký, completed the central linear park, which runs along the entire length of the district and skirts the central axis of the housing estate in Ružinovská street. Despite the fact that the park was originally dedicated to Karol Šmidke and his above-lifesize statue by Vojtech Remeň still stands in the park, in the overall concept it does not look dominant. The central visual and spatial role here is played by the plastic remodeling of the landscape articulated by clear lines of concrete walls and, above all, two fountains. The veil fountain the architect designed in collaboration with Jozef Vachálek and it also serves as the music pavilion of the park promenade. The second one is the fan fountain, on which design also Júlia Kunovská and Ladislav Mandíček participated, and which forms the entrance element to the park. The architect developed in this project his concepts from previous landscape works, either directly in the Trávniky district or on the urn grove of the Bratislava Crematorium. The harmonious composition of elementary geometric shapes, the play with the contrast of a line and a curve or a flat and rounded surface together create an exceptional work that belongs to the peak of landscape architecture in Slovakia.
