The rectangular mass of the station building is composed of three sections, differing in function and height. The lowest spaces – the entrance and ticket counters – are directly linked to the platforms through the long rounded roofing, contrasting with the high, flat rectangle of the communications core. Both sections are supplemented by a compact administrative section. Similar to the station in Trenčín, this rail building is a rare example of the genre using truly simple Functionalist ideas. Several sources list the author of the design as Tibor Lukovich.
