The ‘Star’ hotel is situated at the centre of town, on the main square. A five-storey lengthwise structure, in the shape of a letter L, the building has a skeletal frame. In the ground floor is a restaurant, above it a cafe, and in the third floor are the management offices and hotel rooms. The fourth and fifth floors, with rooms and en-suite bath and toilet facilities, are of nearly identical layout. On the smooth stucco facades, the most noticeable features are the ribbon window on the second floor and the corner loggia facing the square. Currently, the building no longer serves as a hotel but as office and retail space.
